Thoughts on Contrast of Pictures and Music

As we view the YouTube Montage of Richard Clayderman's "Romeo and Juliet" song, again write your thoughts about the contrast, the difference between the pictures and the music. Predict what this has to do with the play Romeo and Juliet.

Example sentence starters. Think about pace, tone, mood, emotions, colors, setting, time of day, etc.

    -Song is in a minor key making it depressing
    -the pictures are tranquil and relaxing or beautiful




    Settings
    -pretty places and loving animals haha



    Colors
    -all bright and pretty
    -vivid

    I think the pictures represent a place were you can just go relax and calm and settle down. All the pictures are of beautiful and calm things. The music is also calm and very relaxing it makes you want to sleep. It also suggest love because all the animals were together except the wolf.

    The music is quietly dramatic and reflective in this video and the pictures show beautiful views and objects splattered with all kinds of colors. I noticed a view of a castle and a wolf howling at the sky mixed in with the lanscape pictures, maybe the castle is where juliet is and the wolf is romeo howling for her. There were also a few animals embracing also that can symbolize their love for eachother.

    The music is very slow. Almost depressing but it is romantic, the piano is powerful and very romantic.

    I believe that the pictures represent/show/explain...
    ~The pictures were very beautiful and majestic. They might represent how beautiful Romeo and Juliet's love was.
    ~In the beginning, there was a lone wolf. Maybe it represented the feeling of being alone with no-one to care for.
    ~The pictures of the animal pairs
    represented simple love.


    I believe that the music represents/shows/explains...
    ~The music is almost bitter-sweet, just like Romeo and Juliet's relationship.

    There is a lonely animal and a bunch of animals together. The music is kind of sad. There should definetly be a story behind by the music is so gloomy and sad. But maybe the lonely animals are missing something.

    After watching the youtube video on Romeo and Juliet, the pictures where really pretty and seemed happy. The music had a sad and slow tone and it.

    All of the pictures look really like peacuful and romantic, but the music sounds sad. It kind of seems like we are looking back at what happened and it is a sad story. There a lot of pictures with 2 animals who are together "in love" but there was also 1 lone wolf so maybe that was romeo without juliet or maybe there was another person who love juliet too.

    The pictures are beautiful, bright, pictures that are happy. The music however is kind of sad but hopeful. The music is also mysterious.

    the music is kinda sad and slow but the pictures are of these really nice places and i think thats how Romeo and Juliet goes. A sad story but its also a really nice story.

    There's a lot of romantic pictures and music.The sunset shows up a lot and that's like it's the end of their love story. The reflections are like their two different people but they share the same heart. Flowers are romantic. Animals "hugging" are also lovey-dovey. The music is also somewhat regretful and mourning.

    The music is both happy and sad, representing that Romeo and Juliet love each other but can't be together because of their parents. The pictures could represent how far they have to go to be together, and how badly they want to be together.

    i think that the music could set a mood for a sad love where two can know longer be because of there obligations or its complicated to be with one other. the pictures are beautiful places and animals showing effection for each other

    The music is a sound of melancholy and the mixture of beauty and a feeling of trying something new. The music seems free yet wade down at the same time. The pictures are beautiful and have a sense of togetherness. They show the entire continent through out the animals and places. This reminds me of Romeo and Juliet with a beauty yet wade down feeling.

    As the pictures pass along and the music plays they songs has kind of different beats and tempos sometimes more instruments play at once. The pictures all show romantic sceneries and some show pictures of animals that are like in "love". They are all together, except for one lonely wolf that's like Romeo all by himself.

    -The pictures show two things that are relatd,but cannot be together, ex. the mountains, and the sky.
    -Then the music takes on a more passionate tone, then it shows two things together, despite their differences.

    The pictures seem to be only around 2 or 3 colors. They make the scenery look beautiful and flawless. The music and photos seem to go to together I think that they are more calming and relaxing. All the animals seem to be with another animal except the wolf, who was kind of calling out to others.

    I think that the pictures of the animals represent the love between each other. The picture of the single wolf represents that they wolf has lost its significant other. The picture settings represent they beauty of the love between the animals and between Romeo & Juliet. The music in the video helps to bring out the beauty and love between the place settings and the animals.

    I noticed how the music was slow and sad and had like the depression theme going on, whereas the pictures were showing these beautiful sunsets and how happy and colorful they are. When it shows the lonely wolf its hits were it and the music really go together. And it continues to go on with animals together and then still the music doesnt fit the happiness its trying to show. It just seems to show how they were trying to present the good pretty image yet had depressing music.
