ReplyDeleteKatey, Group 2: In "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, I think that cleverness helped Rainsford win the hunting game. The most clever thing he did that let him win the game is when he was running from the General and got the the edge of the cliff, he realized that he could jump, and swim back to the generals house becuase first of all it was faster than walking, second of all the General wouldn't jump after him, and third of all the General wasn't expecting him back at home,and thats how he won!

ReplyDeleteThere were many attributes in the story that helped Rainsford through his man hunt but the one attribute that helped him the most in my opinion was mental toughness. I think this because you need to have a good attitude and clever ideas to get you through a challenge.You can't have a bad attitude in life and get through a hard challenge that requires mental toughness. Without that attribute I don't think that Rainsford could have made it through his long journey.
Group 1: In Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game”, Sanger Rainsford, the main character, uses his cleverness to outwit his opponent, General Zaroff, in a hunting game in a strange, remote island where he is the one being hunted, and depending on if he can kill the General first, he may never make it out.

In the story "The Most Dangerous" I believe that Rainsford won by using his experiance and knowlage of hunting and staying hidden in the shadows to outwit General Zarroff.
